How to Avoid Scammers
We warn our visitors and users about new types of scams in which fraudsters:
- pretend to be the site’s “admin,” “support,” or “operator” of Amaterky.sk,
- misuse the name Amaterky.sk,
- attempt to obtain a payment in advance.
Official Communication
The operator of Amaterky.sk communicates exclusively via the following email address: admin@amaterky.sk
Any messages or calls via instant messengers such as WhatsApp, Viber, Signal, etc., that claim to be from the operator of Amaterky.sk, use the Amaterky.sk name, or impersonate the website administrator are a SCAM!
Threats and “Fines” via WhatsApp and Other Apps
Scammers may contact you via WhatsApp (as well as Viber, Signal, Messenger, etc.) and pretend to be the “admin,” “support,” or “operator” of Amaterky.sk. They may then:
- make aggressive threats,
- demand a fine for alleged harassment,
- demand money for “cancelling a meeting”,
- pressure you to act immediately.
We recommend that you do not respond. Block the phone number or user immediately and report them to the relevant service (e.g., WhatsApp).
Advance-Payment Scams
Scammers may try to obtain a payment in advance—for example, a deposit for a meeting, a reservation fee, a taxi fee, verification and similar charges.
Never send money to anyone in advance. If anyone asks you to pay upfront, in the vast majority of cases it is a scam.
Stealing Login Details or Requesting App Installation
Scammers may ask you to install something or provide sensitive information (PIN, password, SMS codes, or sending an SMS), often under the pretext of “verification” or “security.”
- Never download any apps at the request of an unknown person.
- Never enter or disclose your PIN, password, or any other access credentials.
- Never send SMS messages to unknown numbers if requested by an unknown person.
